The Honeywell wireless emergency line (WEL) is an ideal add on kit to an existing wireless security system that needs to be upgraded with a wireless panic button, without adding additional wireless features. The WEL-Y kit includes a receiver module which has a simple 4-wire connection to any existing security system control panel, and a small wireless remote panic button. The panic button is small and convenient, and can be placed on a keychain or simply placed in a convenient location in the home. The Honeywell WEL-Y panic button can be used to activate a medical or police panic, or can control anything that can be activated by a relay. The panic button can also be programmed for instant activation, or for a (3) second delay to eliminate false alarm situations. Using Honeywell’s Street Smart wireless technology, the Wireless Emergency Line uses more than 4 billion encrypted codes, allowing you wireless control, without sacrificing security.

One remote panic button can work multiple WEL receivers, or up to 7 wireless panic buttons can be used with one WEL receiver. The WEL-Y uses the wireless panic button CEREM1 and is compatible with different security control panels than the WEL-R that uses the CEREM2 panic button. Each panic button comes with a 6V coin cell lithium battery.
